Youth Services Program

Home Base Housing operates a transitional and rent-geared-to-income (RGI), supportive housing program designed specifically for youth between the ages of 16 and 24 years of age. Youth Services consists of three residential properties. Two the three properties are part of the social housing portfolio operated by Home Base Housing. The third property, RISE@one4nine represents an expansion of the program which now provides 16  RGI beds and 14 transitional beds (accommodations vary)  to the Youth Services program.

RISE@one4nine becomes the foundation of the Youth Services program that offers safe, affordable housing for youth as well as provides support services to assist them to become independent. The youth who are selected for the program voluntarily agree to work with a Case Manager to develop structured plans for school, employment or treatment. Youth Services provides an intensive life-skills program as well as individual and group counseling designed to quickly prepare the residents for their future beyond the program.

Youth Services meet approximately 100 youths each year through the delivery of their services and programs. Program participation selection is based on a priority basis in order for youth who are in a dangerous or urgent situation can be accommodated as quickly as possible. In addition to providing housing, Youth Services also assists their clients to find permanent living arrangements. Our staff routinely follows up on those who have graduated from our program to ensure their successful independence.
